Counting Blessings
My dear sweet Grandma passed recently. I'd posted earlier that I'd gone back to the UK to spend time with her - she was battling stage 4 breast cancer. I'm thankful that I got to say goodbye. It was hard. But it was a blessing to have that time together.
She was amazing and we were very lucky to have her as our Grandma. You can see in the photo above how much fun we all had together. She cared soo much for her family, to the point that when she was diagnosed, she was more concerned about upsetting 'the kids' (her grown up grandkids :), than her own well-being. I'll miss her dearly. But I like to think that she is now with her loving husband and son, and together they'll be watching over us.

I'm sorry you lost your grandmother. It's wonderful you go to spend some time with her toward the end. We, who are left behind, never have it easy.
Oh, I'm sorry about you grandmother passing Sam. She sounds like an awesome lady, it's good you went to visit recently, I think a lot of people wish they had taken the time to do that when they could.
All the best.
I'm so sorry, Sam! She sounds like she was wonderful. I'm thankful you had the chance to say goodbye. We had that chance too and I think it made it just a little easier when the time came.
Huge hugs to you and your family. Also I think that quote is right on.
xoxo,
Bea

Sorry to hear about this sad news. You and your family are my thoughts and prayers. The wonderful memories will stay with you; her example will guide you.
Best,
Monica
I am so sorry for your grandmother Sam... The bad thing to love someone is that one day we have to say him/her goodbye: it is so sad to think about it.
A big hug to you
Dany
